Rest In Peace Callie Stocker
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of Callie Stocker’s passing. Callie, daughter of Brynith & Jason Stocker (Sergeant in the NYPD Narcotics Division) and twin sister of Riker Stocker, succumbed to Alexander disease, a rare neurodegenerative disease of which there are only 300 reported cases worldwide since 1941. Alexander disease is a disorder of the white matter of the brain that slowly robs someone of their ability to eat, speak and eventually, breathe.
Over the past year, Callie, her father Jason, and the rest of her family, have been the inspiration behind the development of Fund the First and the driving force for our mission. Although we are still in developmental stages, Fund the First stands alongside the Stocker Family and wants to assist in raising funds for the overwhelming medical and now funeral costs.
With the permission of the Stocker family, Fund the First is launching an emergency campaign. This contribution page is the only crowdfunding page exclusively for and authorized by the Stocker Family. Once our platform goes live in the summer of 2020, Callie’s name will live on forever with the implementation of the Callie Stocker Scholarship Fund, which will be overseen by her parents.
