It was heartbreaking to hear about the sudden passing of my daughter Isabella Ixim Chavez at just 27 yrs. old.. She was truly a remarkable person—her kindness, warmth, and ability to light up a room were gifts to everyone who knew her.
Bellas love for her family was evident in everything she did. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and most of all, an incredible mother to Aaliyah 5 yrs and James Jr. 3 yrs. old. The loss of such a beautiful soul at such a young age is beyond comprehension, and my heart aches for her children who will grow up without their mother who loved them beyond words and sacrificed for them constantly without regret.
During this incredibly difficult time, any support you can provide will be a tremendous help in easing the burdens her family faces. While no amount of money can ever replace the love and presence Bella brought into their lives, your contribution will make a meaningful difference in meeting their needs and providing for them what she worked tirelessly to achieve. Always thinking of there future. Even taking care of them from afar. Knowing that no one compares to love and joy she provided to her sweet babies. Thank you in advance for all of your support. I know you all were like a second family to her. I need not tell you that she cared and loved everyone unconditionally. 💔 😭😭

Isabella Ixim Chavez, or Staff Sergeant (SSG) Ixim as I knew her, was one the greatest NCOs that I have had the pleasure to serve with. I only served with her this past year on our recent deployment to Kuwait, and I truly wish I would have been able to work alongside her longer. By far the hardest thing about being deployed overseas for the Army is being away from family. Sometimes you’re able to detach, work your job, support the mission, and not really think about the life you’re leaving behind back home. But other times, it’s unbearable. During those times, you can only hope that you’re serving with people that will help you through it. SSG Ixim, by her sense of humor, her unrelenting sass, her encouragement, her personal example of excellence in everything she did, and just perseverance shone a light that brought our unit together. But her love for her family was the light that shined the brightest. By a million miles (more than the miles she ran that year). It challenged me then to be better. And she still challenges me today. I’ll miss you, Bella, and I will make sure that your legacy remains as someone who pursued excellence always. It was a great honor, Ricardo A. Vazquez Major, Engineer
It was an honor to meet and work with Bella. It was heartbreaking to hear this news. I will miss your smiling face and humorous one liners. My sincere condolences to your beautiful family.
