My pup Bucky will be 2 next month and to celebrate his birthday we would like to give him some bionic knees. Bucky loves to play and somehow in all his fun has torn what would be the ACL in a human in both knees. This is not something that can heal on its own and requires surgery as soon as possible so that he can make a full recovery and be back to playing someday soon!

Before I go further, I want to address that it was our responsibility as pet parents to get pet insurance to cover our guy (not to say with certainty that this would have been covered). To anyone out there on the fence, I highly recommend that you take action as we are now looking at a $5,600-6,500 bill per knee.

We are a military family who went from financial stability to taking a risk with purchasing a gym to save a community we love dearly and create a safe space for individuals to be their healthiest self while finding comfort in camaraderie. As one could imagine, that has not left a lot of room for a $12-13,000 vet bill a year into gym ownership. We know everyone works hard for their money and to make ends meet and that this is ultimately our responsibility however, we are asking for your help. It can be easy to think that a "small" donation will not matter, but we assure you it does. Any amount will help us in a significant way and will be so appreciated.

Bucky is not "just a dog," he is the best companion. He is so happy to just wake up each morning and always seeking to snuggle up with whoever he can find lounging around the house. Buck has been a light in a year of adversity with my (Ashlyn) spouse (Julian) living separate lives while we both pursue a dream of our own. He is part of our family and a very important part at that.
