The Chatham County Police Associations is a fraternal organization consisting of active and retired members of the Chatham County Georgia Police Department. The Association was incorporated under the laws of the State of Georgia on August 14, 1974 and existed until June 12, 2015. On June 15, 2022, the Association was re-incorporated, again, under the laws of the State of Georgia. The purpose(s) of the Association is community service as well as morale, welfare, and recreation of its' members. Some community service activities include Christmas gifts and Santa Claus visits to local hospital pediatric wards, Thanksgiving and Christmas food donations and distributions to community needy families and homeless shelters, free child fingerprinting services for assistance in identification of missing/exploited children, financial assistance to members who are injured in the line of duty, financial assistance to survivors of officers lost in the line of duty. Morale and recreation activities for members and their families, and any other worthwhile endeavor that would benefit the community in which the Chatham County Police Department is engaged with are also purposes of the Association.
