Dave worked with me for 5 years in the early 80’s. Simply put, when Captain Dave Cook was working-the job got done-be it supervising/leading/taking care of the troops or taking care of the public. He is what any member would want as a boss-and any boss would want on duty. In his career he’s been a fire officer, ECC shift Captain and HazMat instructor.
Dave (59 years old) has been diagnosed with inoperable cancer(s) and has been given just a few months. He has health insurance but the treatment deductibles and related “not covered” costs are mounting significantly. I am doing this fundraiser so he and his family get a little financial help while dealing with this terrible situation.

Dave, I am so sorry for all you are going through, and have always had the utmost respect for you. I enjoyed working with you at ECC and Emergency management, we were a part of making history there! Thank you for everything you did for our shifts and the community over the years!
