David Curtis tragically left us on July 4th, 2026. He was a beloved member of the Watertown community and Codington County Law Enforcement. Dave’s death was something Darce was not emotionally or financially prepared for. I still remember the last time I saw Dave. It was a tough day for our family. I went to shake his hand and he pulled me in for a hug. He knew I needed that hug. He was one of the good ones. He will be missed.
Darce, words cannot even begin to express how deeply sorry I am. Dave was a beacon of light for our entire community. Dave truly was a hero to all people he came into contact with including myself.
