My name is David Childs I am a 20-year retired Army veteran with 3 combat tours. I just found out we have to move. Jamie my son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was diagnosed when he was 2 and has been a true champion and warrior with this life-threatening disease. Jamie’s disease takes away all his abilities and will eventually take his life. Life expectancy is in his late 20s to early ’30s.

Our landlord is selling his land and we have to move. It’s too expensive to move here locally in Delaware. The only option is to move to Alabama and rent our nephew's house. I feel that I and my family might could possibly be homeless because we can't afford the move. With gas and a rental van, I figured up that would cost about 3,000 dollars. Living on a Veterans budget and bad credit because of past marriage the money is hard to come up with. We have to be out by 1 June 2023 so there is not a lot of time to prepare. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don’t know what I’m going to do…
