The United States Marshals Service and the Department of Justice have failed to provide proper assistance following the death of David Ryan Newton.

This fundraiser will assist with funeral/memorial service expenses, medical bills, legal expenses and daily expenses.

David Ryan was a dedicated United States Marshal who served the United States Marshals Service with pride and honor. On April 2, 2023, David answered his final call and sacrificed his life while pursuing the Marshals mission.

David was 37-years old, a graduate of Florida State University, a native of Jacksonville, Florida and a resident of Alexandria, Virginia. 

David began his career with the United States Marshals Service in March 2010 in the District of Puerto Rico. In September 2013, he transferred to the Eastern District of Virginia, Norfolk Office, and worked there until he was promoted as a Senior Inspector with the Witness Security Division in July 2017.  In July 2019, he was promoted to the position of Assistant Chief Inspector of Security. At the time of his passing, David was serving as Chief Inspector for the Witness Security Division. David loved working for the Marshals Service, and took pride in his work.

David Ryan, Chief Inspector for the United States Marshals Services, was and will always be a hero.
