I”'ve always been told you won't be called home until it's your time I guess Heaven was needing a hero Somebody just like you Brave enough to stand up for what you believe and follow it through When I try to make it make sense in my mind The only conclusion I come to Is that Heaven was needing a hero like you....” ——————— When you put on that uniform and head out the door to a job that you love, you never think it’s the last time you’ll kiss your wife and kiss. You more often think it’s routine and that it’s just another call. Well, Sgt, this one hits home! You gave your life answering a call to serve your community as you so often did. While I didn’t know you or your family, my heart breaks as it’s the same way I loss my best friend many years ago. The days, the weeks and the years ahead will be dark to those who loved you, but for many of us, we pray for your family that they may fine peace and understanding. I reflect today on your brothers and sisters in blue and feel the same pain that they feel today. RIP Sgt you will never be forgotten. EOW 1/1/21
