The Orange Police Department family regretfully suffered the tragic loss of Detective Lieutenant Walter A. Imbert. He was a dedicated father and husband to his wife Colleen and daughter Giuliana. Walter loved spending time with them and their family dog, Chulo.
Walter proudly served his country as a United States Army, Combat Medic in Kuwait and served the City of Orange New Jersey as a Detective Lieutenant, Firearms Instructor, and Special Response Team Sniper/Observer Team. In 2005 Walter received the Essex County Valor Award for his outstanding actions in the line of duty and additionally honored by the City of Orange.
We are asking for donations to support his family and to help pay for his daughter Giuliana's future college expenses.

Colleen, Giuliana and Families: My deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear Walter. Sending prayers. From the Chianese’s ( retired IES ee]
I am truly honored by the bravery that Walter exemplified in his daily life. I too have a family member that is a detective, fires arm instructor and member of our community SWAT team. I continually pray for these important men and women who fulfill this most important and brave role of keeping our communities safe. May St. Michael and their guardian angels protect each and every one of them as they protect us from those who do not know the meaning of ❤️ Love and “goodness of the soul”.
