Equipping First Responders with Distraction Kits.
The K4K program aims to provide kits or units to children who are experiencing trauma, stress, anxiety, and various mental episodes due to challenging environments or difficult circumstances, such as domestic violence, neglect, abuse, fire, or vehicle crashes. The program is designed to assist our youngest and most vulnerable community members.
The main goal of the K4K program is to provide children present during First Responder Service calls with effective tools to distract them and improve the relationships between all first responders and the communities they serve. The intention is to expand the K4K program to benefit communities throughout the United States. We have already provided 20 K4K's to the First Responders of North Las Vegas Police Department as a test. We would now like to conduct a full roll out to provide 300 K4K's to the entire police department.
