Gone too soon

On May 16, our family lost an incredible husband, father, friend, and hero far too soon. At just 43 years old, a retired NYPD officer passed away suddenly after a brief illness, leaving behind a devastated family who loved him beyond words.

After proudly serving New York City for 20 years, he retired from the NYPD last year. Most recently, he served in the NYPD’s elite Critical Response Command (CRC), where he dedicated his career to protecting others during some of the city’s most dangerous and difficult moments. He carried that same strength, loyalty, and selflessness into every part of his life.

To his wife — who continues to serve as an active-duty NYPD officer — he was her partner, protector, and biggest source of support. To their three young children, he was their world. Whether it was family time, school events, bedtime stories, or simply being the steady presence they could always count on, he was the backbone of their family in every sense of the word.

No family is ever prepared for a loss this sudden. Beyond the unimaginable emotional pain, his wife is now faced with navigating life as a single parent while trying to provide stability and security for their children during this heartbreaking time.

This fundraiser is being created to help ease that burden and to honor his greatest legacy — his children. Funds raised will go toward establishing and supporting college funds for the three children, helping ensure they have opportunities and support for the future their father worked so hard to provide.

He spent his life answering calls for help and putting others before himself. Now, we are asking the community, friends, family, and fellow first responders to come together for his family in their time of need.
