On November 13th, 2023, Adam experienced a catastrophic misfire during a RPG launch while filming an educational video series. There was a mishap, causing it to explode on his shoulder. This had him airlifted to the hospital with third degree burns on about 10% of his upper body, a broken jaw, a fractured skull, face and chest lacerations, several pieces of shrapnel in his body, and long term nerve damage in his face.
Adam Knowles is a recent veteran after spending some time deployed in the U.S. Army. One of his goals after returning home was to educate and entertain his fellow citizens about the interesting world of firearms, as well as the dangers.
Multiple skin grafts, stitches, and other surgeries later, Adam is left with an enormous medical bill of almost $300,000, especially after the helicopter ride, and the weeks spent in the hospital in order to get back on his feet. I am hoping to do everything I can to help him and his family recovery as much as possible, physically, mentally, and financially. So far, insurance has only covered about 2% of the total.

Hope your recovery is smooth! The failure was the third of your videos I watched, and I was looking forward to it. Had no clue what was coming, but I'm glad it wasn't the worst case scenario. I have personal experience with loss of life and limb with weaponry, and I'm glad you are taking it so much in stride, the entire team. Also, merry Christmas, and to a healthy future.
Reply from Adam Knowles9 months agoThank you Bohden, I hope you had a good recovery yourself! Mine is going pretty well for the situation. Christmas was great just to have been there for it!
I’ve got a fairly similar psychological experience that I’d like to share with Adam. I hope it provides insight on what he’s going through that may help with processing everything moving forward with how it’s effecting him. If he’s interested in reading it I’ll DM it on instagram. Stay on track to a solid recovery!
