Our family received news that has changed our lives forever. My sister, Julian`s mom Patty, was recently diagnosed with a glioma, a type of brain tumor. This diagnosis has come with overwhelming uncertainty, countless doctor visits, treatments, and the beginning of a long medical journey that no one ever imagines facing.
Despite the challenges, Patty has shown incredible courage. She continues to face each day with the same warmth, humor, and love that she has always given so freely to others. But the road ahead includes specialized treatments, surgeries, therapies, and ongoing care—costs that are beyond what insurance can cover and what our family can manage alone.
We are reaching out to our community—friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers—for support. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward:
Covering medical bills and treatments
Travel expenses to specialists and hospitals
Rehabilitation and therapy to support her recovery
Helping relieve the financial stress so she can focus fully on healing
If you are unable to give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser, keeping Patty in your thoughts, and sending prayers or positive energy her way. Hearing a positive outreach, a text, a DM, phone call to her and or Julian will help keep the faith and hope strong. Your support, friendship & empathy means the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for every kind gesture during this difficult time.
Together, we believe in giving Patty the best chance at fighting this tumor with hope, dignity, and strength.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💙
The Gonzalez Family.
Updates
Hello everyone,
This is Julian.
First, I want to thank every single one of you for the donations, prayers, messages, and support for my mom, Patty. I wanted to personally come on here and provide an update from me directly.
As many of you know, my mom recently endured a 3-4 month hospital stay filled with serious complications. During that time, she was placed on two ventilators. Her heart was failing, her lungs were failing, and doctors were unsure if she would ever wake up, breathe on her own again, eat again, or even speak again.
Today, I’m grateful to say my mom is continuing to build a testimony for herself and is breaking down nearly every barrier they set for her.
She is now home with me. She’s speaking much more, eating more, smiling more, and having clearer moments every single day. If you know my mom personally, this strength probably does not surprise you at all. She has always been one of the strongest people I’ve ever known.
That being said, this recovery has not been easy or linear. My mom has been bedridden since January, and helping her regain strength and mobility has been an extremely difficult process. Some days are beautiful victories, while other days are still incredibly hard.
Right now, our biggest goal is focusing on healing her wounds and managing the agitation episodes she experiences so that she can safely get back on Avastin treatment, which helps control the swelling in her brain. We are taking it a day at a time because my mom is very delicate, and keeping her safe is extremely important. Her latest MRI also showed no disease progression despite not being on treatment, the Lord is laying his hands over her and keeping her in this fight. Most of her swelling is also radiation necrosis, which reacts very well to Avastin. The goal of the Avastin is to hopefully bring her back cognitively and allow her to make her own decisions. Thankfully, she has been improving with both, and she’s been progressing everyday.
There are still days where my mom becomes very resistant to care and will not allow me to help her personally. At times, she will allow nurses care for her but due to insurance they only come to check in and handle any tasks I need assistance with. Because of that, having consistent nursing support at home has become extremely important for both her safety and recovery. Unfortunately, paying privately for ongoing nursing care and stretcher transportation while waiting for long term care Medicaid approval has become another fork in the road financially.
I am currently caring for my mom full time largely by myself, and navigating Medicaid, transportation, nursing support, medical equipment, and day to day caregiving has honestly been one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced in my life.
Because of this, we are still in need of help. A large portion of expenses now goes toward stretcher transportation, in home nursing support, medical supplies, and care needs that insurance either delays or does not fully cover.
More than anything, I’m asking for continued prayers, support, guidance, and for people to continue sharing my mom’s story. Every donation, message, repost, and prayer truly makes a difference for us right now.
Thank you all again for standing beside my mom and our family through this journey.

God bless, Psalms 41 🙏🏻✝️
Hi everyone! First off want to thank everyone for there continued support to Patty and Julian.
Secondly, we had Patty moved back to Baptist for the time being and she is doing as best as can be considering. Please keep the prayers coming and reach out to Julian to offer, support and more importantly in person support.
On a different topic, Patty's little dog is the daddy to 5 cute little puppies that are ready for a happy home. There are small mixed terrier's that are very happy and full of joy. If you, or know of anyone would like one please get in contact with anyone on the family. They are small size puppies. Here is a picture of them with their mom.
Update – March 26, 2026 With Faith
Hello everyone,
I want to begin by sincerely thanking each and every one of you for your continued contributions, prayers, and unwavering support throughout Patty’s fight. Your love, kindness, and generosity—whether through donations, visits, calls, or simple words—have been a lifeline for our family.
We are so grateful that, despite the challenges, Patty was able to enjoy Thanksgiving, and her last family outing was for her birthday on January 8th, 2026 surrounded by love. Sadly, a little after that late January 2026, Patty had to return to the ER after experiencing seizure-like symptoms. She fought many complications to include, clots, pneumonia, and other complications but she fought and pulled thru to the best she could. They discovered swelling in her brain, which is possibly causing these symptoms, and the doctors are worked diligently to reduce it.
Patty has been stabilized to the point where she was transferred over last weekend to, Saint Catherine's West Rehabilitation Hospital 8850 NW 122nd Street, Hialeah Gardens Fl, 33018 (305) 351-7181
More than ever, we ask that you not only pray but also consider visiting Patty in person if you are able. She is uplifted by seeing and hearing familiar faces this terrible fight. We encourage you to reach out and call Julian—he is shouldering this journey 24/7, and your strong words of encouragement and support give him the strength to keep going. He really needs a show of support more than ever in person physically from everyone that can be there for them both. Our mother is also devastated going thru this and also with a sick brother. If you know our mothers story, she is strong but a human can only take so much without support from our friends and family. Currently we ask for family, friends, to reach out, visit and continued prayers.
With love and gratitude,
💙 Patty & Julian’s Family.
Today our family is asking for support thru your prayers. Patty was admitted again and is being transferred to ICU due to labored breathing. Please pray for her tonight! 01/24/2026 12:15 AM. Any one of our immediate family members can be reached directly. Prayers and Faith in God!
Hello everyone! Hope all is well. Just keeping everyone one up to date. Patty today is back at the hospital due to effects of her treatment. Please keep her in your prayers to fight and keep her sprits in the fight. Reach out to her or Julian for further updates as we get them.
