Officer Tom Blasky retired in 2021 after 30 years with the League City Police Department. Tom faithfully served his department and community and is most well- known in town for his time on patrol and as a DARE officer. Tom was passionate about his job and impacted many lives as our city grew during his career. Unfortunately, Tom was recently diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and is losing his dexterity and ability to walk. These symptoms will increase in severity and Tom will need assistance at home, home modifications for wheelchair access, dietary considerations and other expenses. Tom also has heart issues; with an internal defibrillator. We are organizing this fund to help Tom and his wife, Karen, also a disabled USAF veteran, with the expected significant costs of Tom's treatment while he is fighting ALS. Any consideration is greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless!
*this fundraiser is organized by The League City Police Officer's Association FOP Lodge 555, LCPOA Charities and Lone Star Fence and Construction.
Updates
All.... thanks to all the generous and heartfelt donations we have received, Tom so far has gotten the ramps for his front and back door installed and the renovations for the ADA compliant master bathroom have begun. This is a huge step and will make a tremendous difference in the quality of life for Tom and Karen. We all cannot thank the generous donors enough and feel very blessed for your generosity. We will continue to work to support Tom during his treatments in care. Thank you all again and be safe.

Thanks for being such a great family friend for all of these years.
Thanks for being a great DARE officer.
Great guy, remembered having lunch with him when I would go eat lunch with my kids, great stories and great roll model for the kids.
Thinking of you brother.
