GIVING TO THE CAMPBELL FAMILY

This Fund the First account has been created to support the Campbell Family during their time of loss, and celebrate the life of son Evan Campbell, whose life was taken so abruptly. 

Over the past month, Lester Campbell and his family have been racked by the sudden and tragic loss of son Evan and the passing of his father Percy following his long bout with cancer.  As can be understood, each loss alone is a tragedy for any one family to handle, but successive ones in a short period of time have created a uniquely heavy burden for the Campbell’s to deal with.  Fortunately, they are a large and loving family that have a special strength and resilience to overcome the combined loss.  

In memory, Evan was born in the Los Angeles, California area, and his grandfather Percy was born in Louisiana and later relocated to Los Angeles as a young man. They were both fortunate to have Lester in their lives, who was equally a great father and a dedicated son.  Evan had recently returned to California and enjoyed the closeness of his family and familiar surroundings, which included time with Percy.  

Now the two will be joined together again and this site seeks to provide the opportunity for others to remember them. Furthermore, the site is the opportunity to honor Evan’s life and provide the means to do so. It is the hope of his family to donate a portion of the funds to a cause that will further Evan’s memory.  For this, we seek to support the Campbell family.
