Help a Veteran Dad Bring His Daughter Home & Start Fresh
Their story
My name is Nickolas Churruca. I’m an honorably discharged, disabled U.S. Army veteran, a father, and a man fighting to protect my daughter, Abbeygale, and bring her safely home.
For almost 2.5 years, I had been searching for my daughter, having not seen or held her since shortly after she was born—despite my repeated efforts to remain a loving, present father. Those efforts were met with resistance, threats, and a complete cut-off of contact. In February, my wife and I finally discovered where she is. I am now in a legal battle to secure custody, shield her from harm, and prove my ability to give her a stable, loving home.
My wife Taylor and I have spent more than 350 hours gathering evidence, filing motions, and standing our ground—while enduring personal and financial hardship.
We are now at a turning point. Moving from Phoenix, AZ, to Idaho will place us near my supportive grandparents, provide better job opportunities, and give my daughter the safe environment she deserves.
Your support will go directly toward:
-
$4,000 – Relocation & Housing: First month’s rent, deposit, moving truck, and temporary lodging.
-
$3,000 – Legal & Court Costs: Continuing custody filings, court fees, and protective orders.
-
$2,000 – Transportation & Setup: Vehicle prep, pet relocation, and basic furnishings.
-
$1,000 – Emergency & Gap Coverage: Essential expenses while transitioning jobs.
We’ve fought this fight with everything we have, but we can’t do it alone anymore. Every contribution—no matter the size—brings us closer to a safe, fresh start and a future where Abbeygale can grow up surrounded by love, stability, and family who will never give up on her.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us in this fight.
