Sgt Matthew Schoolfield, shot six (6) times in the line of duty while executing a search warrant while an officer with the Chickasha Police Department. Three (3) of those bullets were NOT stopped by his protective armor and as a result has had 9 surgeries and forced to retire. Sgt Schoolfield joined the military at age 17 and has been a Chickasha officer since 2007. Sgt Schoolfield was victimized twice. First when he was shot by this coward and then again by the pension system. The existing pension system when Sgt Schoolfield was shot did very little to take care of officers violently attacked while on duty and permenantly disabled. Sgt Schoolfield and his wife Johnna have worked tirelessly over the last 3 years to correct that broken pension system. Sgt Schoolfield was forced to retire due to his injuries. The Sarge is being awarded by the Wounded Blue Foundation for all of his efforts in improving that pension system. I would like to raise the funds to send them to accept this award.
