I did not know Kyle personally but the impact he has left on this world and the stories I've heard of him from my daughter (who worked with him) and read about him, I wish I had the chance to know him. His positive reach was far and wide. This is such a tragedy and fills my heart with such sorrow and sadness. Trooper Kyle McAcy, I thank you for your service to the people of Nebraska. To Kyle's friends and family, my deepest condolences for your loss. May you rest in eternal peace and let your legacy live on through the lives of those still on Earth.

Kyle is going to be missed so dearly. In the short time I knew him he had left such an impact and I will never forget him. I’m going to miss the infectious smiles and laughs he always shared.

Went to order food for the Lincoln chopsticks drive, but the wait was three hours—I’m giving directly what I’d have spent there. I’m so moved by our community and the genuine love to our law enforcement. None of this can make the loss easier, but I hope you’ll feel this for what it is: genuine love and appreciation.
