Yesterday was one of the hardest days I ever had to face, the Lord called my Grandmother home to the Kingdom of Heaven. My Grandmother, Maria Otilia Robertshaw, was one of the kindest and most gentle souled individuals that you would ever meet. Anywhere she wen't, someone would recognize her and always stopped to say hello and have a conversation. 

My Grandmother was born in the Azores Islands of Portugal and came to the United States, as a Disaster refuge, at an early age. She worked very hard by taking night classes, while working a day time job, to learn the English language and pridefully gain her United States citizenship. She continued to work hard throughout her life and became a legend of Modesto, Ca after working for Save Mart Supermarkets for many years. My Grandmother tragically loss her first Husband, Jose DaRosa, when my Dad was at the young age of 5. She cared and raised my Father and remarried to my Step-Grandfather, Charles Robertshaw, where they created a wonderful life together filled with many wonderful memories of traveling and spending time with their Grandchildren.

My Grandmother was loved and cared for by so many that had the pleasure of knowing her, she especially loved her family and her great grand children. Maria was a devoted Catholic and a strong believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. 

I am desperately asking for help during these difficult times with funeral expenses and any associated costs needed, times are difficult and want to give her the funeral that she absolutely deserves.
