We lost an amazing man who made a difference in so many lives.
The Turner family has a long history of serving in the armed forces. April (Air Force Veteran) and Jerome raised two twin boys that are now 23. Jalen is currently serving in the Air Force and is stationed locally. He has been assigned humanitarian to assist their family. Jordan is working for the Federal government while assisting his parents at home. Their father , Jerome, had a love for coaching them in basketball and many other kids in the community. One of kids left this today on his Face Book page. “You were one coach that coached us not just in basketball but through life you treated us as if we were your own kids, I remember the countless nights we would all stay at the house and you would have talks with us about life and when we become men. “ Jerome was diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago. He fought hard and had many set backs along the way but never gave up. Two days ago he had another set back and passed away Monday September 23, 2024. Jerome and April were married 35 years. A wonderful couple who loved others and loved God. April left her job after he was diagnosed to care for Jerome. She worked tirelessly as much as she could to maintain Jerome's care. She had to take him back and forth to the many doctors appts, treatments, and multiple stays in the hospital. She was his full time care giver. April is one of the kindest, selfless, giving women I know who adored her husband and loves her family. Her boys came home today to be with her as they honor their beloved father. This fundraiser will help them with all the arrangements, medical expenses they have incurred, and the upcoming expenses that are necessary. Thank you in advance for making a difference for this wonderful family as they go through this difficult time together . Keep them in your prayers. Please consider donating to help April and her family. God Bless.
