During the late night hours of August 21st 2026 Officer Jon Escobar was shot in the line of duty while apprehending a dangerous fleeing felon.
Jon was struck in the arm and face and now faces a long road to recovery. Jon is in stable condition but will likely have multiple surgeries in the coming weeks and months.
Jon has been a police officer for 5 years and served with the Rocky Hill Police Department for the last year.
Jon has a wife at home who is due with their first child in the next two weeks. This incident and the injuries sustained will put a financial strain on the Escobar’s as they start their life as a family of three. Funds raised will support the family as they navigate Jon’s recovery in what will likely be a long and challenging journey.
