Our company is dedicated to shedding light on the challenges veterans face during their transition to civilian life. The problem we're addressing is the lack of understanding and support within the community regarding the complexities of transitioning from military to civilian life, leading to tragic outcomes such as veteran suicide.

When a person makes the decision of taking his/her life the ripples of that decision are felt by all those that knew him/her for years afterwards, who are often left behind with unanswered questions.

Keep On Living” is a powerful and deeply moving documentary that delves into the urgent and often overlooked crisis of veteran suicide. Produced by Amor Umbrella, a veteran-owned creative media and film production company, this documentary combines intimate personal stories, expert interviews, and proactive solutions to raise awareness, inspire action, and offer hope.

The film opens with a stark portrayal of the scale of the issue, highlighting the staggering number of veterans who take their own lives each year. Through the voices of veterans and their families, we hear heartbreaking accounts of the struggles they face after serving their country – from PTSD and depression to feelings of isolation and hopelessness.

Keep On Living” doesn’t just focus on the problem; it also shines a light on the resilience and strength of veterans who have found ways to cope and thrive despite their challenges. We meet individuals who have overcome suicidal ideation, bankruptcy, and homelessness to become inspiring examples of perseverance. Special attention is given to the experiences of women veterans, who are often underrepresented and face unique challenges both during and after their service.

The documentary also explores innovative programs, community initiatives, and legislative efforts aimed at providing mental health support and fostering a sense of community and solidarity among veterans. Viewers are introduced to peer support networks, therapy programs, and grassroots movements making a tangible difference in the lives of those who have served.

Risks & Challenges:

Every film project comes with its own set of challenges, and Keep on Living is no exception. Here are the main risks and obstacles we may face:

Potential Obstacles:

Time Constraints: Coordinating schedules for the cast and crew, especially when everyone has other jobs, can be challenging. Additionally, we need to complete filming before the end of summer to ensure the right weather conditions.

Public Filming Licenses: Securing permits to film in certain locations can be a time-consuming and costly process.

Equipment Malfunctions: Filming relies heavily on equipment, and any technical issues could cause delays.

Budget Limitations: Even with careful planning, unexpected costs can arise, potentially straining our budget.
