This fund is being started for a co-worker in the NYPD:

On September 7th, 2023 my wife and my in-laws suffered a senseless attack by 3 perpetrators while vacationing in Honduras. They were victims of a home invasion. Three perpetrators drove up to their garage entrance which was open at the time with a bullet proof vest and a 9mm gun in each hand. During the attempted robbery my wife, Karla Reyes, her mother,  and her brother and her father Victor Reyes were present at the house at the time and two other neighbors. Two of the 3 perps approached them and forced them inside the house and stated all we want is your money we are not going to hurt anyone. At the time my wife’s father was taking a nap in one of the bedrooms in the house. The perps were not aware that her father was inside the house during the home invasion. Her younger brother was able to alert the father that there were perps inside the house with guns and were intending to rob them.  My father in law took out his gun and challenged the perps. A shoot  out ensued between my father in law and 2 of the perps inside the house. During the shoot out my father in law suffered 2 gun shot wounds 2 his stomach and my wife a gun shot wound to left upper torso just above her arm pit.  One of the neighbors a 25 year old mother of 2 young children was shot and killed by one of the perpetrators. My brother in law rushed my wife and my father in law to a local hospital for treatment  of their injuries. They were both treated at the hospital’s ER. 

 I incurred a number of medical expenses out of pocket for both my wife and my father in law. I am asking for any financial help would be appreciated since all these medical bill's were not covered by insurance.
