Last night we tragically lost one of our own in the NYPD - Police Officer Jason Rivera. As we mourn his death, we want to come together to show his family all the support they deserve during this trying time.
I personally worked with Jason in the 32 Precinct and all I can say is that he was an absolutely wonderful person and as a new officer on the job, he was always smiling and excited to go out no matter what his call of duty was. His cheer will be missed and will forever be in my prayers.

Salute to the heroes.
We must be energetic and brave enough to forget the laziness that urban living in the united states promotes by writing hand written letters with hand written envelopes to the big wig, windbag politicians in Albany and Washington. On the letters, we need to write 'PERSONAL + CONFIDENTIAL' on each of them so that some secretary or intern doesn't just open them and file them away to attract dust. If each of us writes hoards and hoards of letters, we'll get something done. Otherwise, what we are experiencing is similar to the fall of the Roman Empire. We are all responsible. The first positive step was to get Diblasio, or whatever his real name even is, out of office.
