Glenda Perry began her battle with triple negative breast cancer on April 1, 2021. We are heartbroken to notify our friends and family that our beloved wife, mother, daughter, daughter in law, sister, sister in law, aunt and niece, after a valiant battle, passed on Saturday July 16th with her family by her side.
Glenda was only 36 and leaves behind her beloved husband Brandon and two little ones- Nico who just turned 5 and Cici 2 1/2.
We ask that you keep the entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
It never makes sense when someone so young is taken from us.
She never gave up her battle - never- was determined to beat it- and everyone was so impressed with her strength and guts.
Her brave battle is over.
May she rest in peace.

On behalf of the SFMOMA People Team, Glenda will significantly be missed and touched the lives of so many on our team and throughout the museum. Her warm smile, and willingness to pitch in and go the extra mile in caring, supporting and providing the best experience possible for our staff was incredible. “Glenda was the best colleague a good friend and always ready to help with a big smile on her face. She touched too many lives at the museum, she will be missed." ~Nuria "Glenda was one of the first people I met at SFMOMA. She was in my panel interview with Nuria and led my orientation. She was one of the friendliest, most sincere people I had ever met and she made my first few months at SFMOMA so much easier because of how patient she was and how willing she was to spread her knowledge. She was always encouraging, especially when it came to things like difficult tasks or trivial things like trying sparkling water for the first time. When the Popeyes chicken sandwich came out we had a debate among ourselves over the best chicken sandwiches. She was team Chik Fil A and I was team Popeyes. The debate spread throughout the team and culminated in us getting Popeyes chicken sandwiches for the whole team. She loved her kids and would share videos and photos that brightened days when the team was low on morale. She also loved arts and crafts and shared an enthusiasm for Halloween that I always appreciated. She helped me push the idea for the People Team to dress as Woodstock in 2019, which was an improvement over the standing idea, which at the time was to dress as status forms. I will miss Glenda for her positive energy and support. " ~Mario Sending love and healing, Davida
