Mu name is Jason im a retired Assistant Chief of 24 years.  I remain active with the fire dept with fundraising, because in rural iowa we have mostly volunteer fire departments with not much for budgets so we rely on fundraising to get what we need. With that we are in need of bunker gear from helmets to gloves to coats to pants to nomex hoods ect. Some of the PPE is beyond its manufactuer recommended use. So we are currently trying different fundraising ideas so we can get what we need to protect the firefighters. Volunteer firefighter leave work their houses at anytime with no hesitation.
