On Wednesday, July 10th, 2024, Edgar was training to become one of New York’s Finest. He was in his last days of training and was set to graduate the Police Academy on July 15th.
Sadly during that day of training, Edgar suffered a medical episode and tragically passed away.
This unexpected loss has left a void in all of us who knew him at the Police Academy; recruits and instructors alike
With this unimaginable loss we have to step up for his family and be there for anything they may need. He leaves behind a beautiful family, including two year old twins.

There are the good and bad in every field and Edgar would have been a great law enforcer. My heart aches because this would have been the graduation day he worked so hard and courageously for. Academy is extremely selective, tough to endure, but Edgar would have finished. He deserved to but will not see the fruit of his labors. My prayers will continue toward family and close friends. There are really no words. Edgar’s legacy will remain and I will encourage my own son to continue on.
May Edgar RIP. What a shame he never got to be a cop. But I guess that was GOD's plan. He will be a cop in heaven.
