On October 12, 2022 Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Iurato and Sergeant Dustin DeMonte responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the three officers arrived on scene, a suspect ambushed all three officers. Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte were killed by the suspect. Officer Iurato was struck by gunfire, returned fire and killed the suspect.
This fundraiser will directly benefit Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte’s families. Thank you so much for your support.

To the families of these brave fallen officers, know that they will never be forgotten. “When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” -Billy Graham I have long been considering pursuing a career in law enforcement, and the valor which these men so exemplified during their careers and up until the very end has only encouraged me all the more to continue that pursuit. When I embark upon this journey, if God-willing I am meant to, I will do so with their names always on my mind. We are all thinking of you and praying for you during this difficult time.
