On October 12, 2022 Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Iurato and Sergeant Dustin DeMonte responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the three officers arrived on scene, a suspect ambushed all three officers. Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte were killed by the suspect. Officer Iurato was struck by gunfire, returned fire and killed the suspect.
This fundraiser will directly benefit Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte’s families. Thank you so much for your support.

We honor the courage and commitment of Sergeant Dustin DeMonte and Officer Alex Hamzy performing their job as police officers. We know that their families are surrounded by love and wish them comfort and peace in the new year. We will never forget the tragic circumstances that took them from our world too soon.
