On October 12, 2022 Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Iurato and Sergeant Dustin DeMonte responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the three officers arrived on scene, a suspect ambushed all three officers. Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte were killed by the suspect. Officer Iurato was struck by gunfire, returned fire and killed the suspect.
This fundraiser will directly benefit Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte’s families. Thank you so much for your support.

My heart aches for my brothers and sisters in blue and their families. As a retired Lieutenant, City of New Rochelle NY PD I know the dangers we face daily just doing our jobs. But the intentional ambushing and execution of these fine men is unfathomable. May they rest in peace... Blessed are the peacemakers...
