On October 12, 2022 Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Iurato and Sergeant Dustin DeMonte responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the three officers arrived on scene, a suspect ambushed all three officers. Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte were killed by the suspect. Officer Iurato was struck by gunfire, returned fire and killed the suspect.
This fundraiser will directly benefit Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte’s families. Thank you so much for your support.

My heart goes out to the families of these valiant men whose lives were lost protecting us all. May their sacrifice awaken our admiration and respect for all of the brave men and women of law enforcement. God bless the families with an abundance of loving support to carry them through their grief.

God bless the good citizens of Bristol and many other communities who have demonstrated their love, generosity, and support for those in need during this tragic hour.
