On October 12, 2022 Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Iurato and Sergeant Dustin DeMonte responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the three officers arrived on scene, a suspect ambushed all three officers. Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte were killed by the suspect. Officer Iurato was struck by gunfire, returned fire and killed the suspect.
This fundraiser will directly benefit Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte’s families. Thank you so much for your support.

I am heartbroken for these families. Please accept this small donation in appreciation for the sacrifices of these officers and their families, and all those in law enforcement who protect us every day.
Our hearts break for your loss as a police department, for your community, and for the grieving families and friends of these amazing officers, Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte, who were senselessly ambushed and murdered.
