On October 12, 2022 Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Iurato and Sergeant Dustin DeMonte responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the three officers arrived on scene, a suspect ambushed all three officers. Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte were killed by the suspect. Officer Iurato was struck by gunfire, returned fire and killed the suspect.
This fundraiser will directly benefit Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte’s families. Thank you so much for your support.

I work as an EMT and while i don’t work in Bristol I do live here. My heart breaks for the officers families and for BPD. My thoughts and prayers are with the officers, their families and their brothers and sisters at the police department. Stay safe 💙🖤
