On October 12, 2022 Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Iurato and Sergeant Dustin DeMonte responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the three officers arrived on scene, a suspect ambushed all three officers. Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte were killed by the suspect. Officer Iurato was struck by gunfire, returned fire and killed the suspect.
This fundraiser will directly benefit Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte’s families. Thank you so much for your support.

Losses like these are senseless and incredibly saddening. I'm the son of a former state police officer and I don't remember ever feeling like I should question whether or not I will see my Dad again when he would go to work. My heart goes out to anyone who knew these officers - especially the families. Please take care during this very tough time.
