Please assist a fellow NCPD Police Officer’s family. Members of the NCPD Sixth Precinct are asking for your help to support our brother Richie Ponzini and his family as they go through an extremely difficult time in their lives. This past June, Briana Ponzini-Britt 29-year-old sister of Nassau County Police Officer Richie Ponzini was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor.
Briana was a full-time teacher at St. Mary’s in East Islip as well as a substitute teacher before she had to leave teaching due to previous pregnancy complications. Briana has been out of work for over 2 years as her and her husband Paul continued their dream to start a family.
This past June, Briana and her husband welcomed a healthy baby girl Blakely. Tragically, shortly after giving birth Briana was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with a rare grade 4 DIPG brain tumor. DIPG is an aggressive and inoperable brain tumor that is very difficult to treat.
With a newborn daughter, mounting medical expenses and a
long road of treatment ahead for Briana, we ask for your support for the
Ponzini-Britt family. On behalf of the NCPD Sixh Precinct, we would like to
thank everyone for your continued prayers and support during this very difficult
time.
