My name is Mike Nade, I’m the President of the Bowling Green Fraternal Order of Police.  I'm requesting assistance for one of my police officers, Dale Barbiea, who was just diagnosed with cancer. Officer Barbieahad severe pain in his stomach recently and went to the Emergency Room to find out he has several spots on his colon, lungs and liver.  After biopsy, the spots turned out to be metastatic cancer.

Officer Barbiea has been with the Bowling Green Police Department since January, 2008. He is the BGPD’s longest tenured Crisis Negotiation Team member and has peacefully resolved numerous incidents through his verbal ability. He has been recognized with the life saving medal and was awarded the Crisis Intervention Training Officer of the Year in 2022.  He previously served with the Jackson TN Police Department.  Officer Barbiea has been a mentor and a friend to all officers and members of the community.

Dale is a great guy and cares deeply about his community.  Dale does not know a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone out.    I am lucky to call Dale a friend and coworker.   Dale was a professional bull rider on the pro rodeo circuit and is a true cowboy and fighter.  He is going to Vanderbilt to see the best doctors and wants to fight!  Dale currently lacks reliable transportation.  There will be many expenses regarding travel, missed work and care needed.

All money will go directly to Dale and this platform does not charge fees!

I’m humbly asking for donations to help supplement the income lost for being out of work and to also help with medical expenses. Thank you for your time, your donations are greatly appreciated.
