Rest in peace, chief
God Bless you sir
I lost my father, 88 years old, to Alzheimer's (late onset), not too very long ago. We were never very close as he was truly married to his job. Dad was a self-employed restauranteur. He and Mom worked every day of their lives to provide for us four children. We lived in a big city, the east side of town, which was scary and impersonal with "gang" fight, drugs, suicides and the like. Everyone smoked cigarettes and drank alcohol and took drugs of all kinds. My father was vigilante in keeping his family safe and secure. Everyone idolized him for things like hiring the local non-English speaking men and women of the neighborhood. He was an immigrant, as was my mother. Dad was charitable to a fault. He helped build those "Ronald McDonald" houses for the use of family that was hospitalized, and so forth. He also knew every police officer in the city. He honored men like your beloved Chief Justin McIntire. May the Lord bless you and keep you strong.
GOD is with you and family at this challenging time.
You are in our prayers, Ashley. Our hearts are hurting for you and the kids.
