
During a foot pursuit of a man with a gun who was eventually apprehended Officer Glass began to experience pain in his left foot. Officer Glass got X-rays on his foot which showed nothing fractured or broken. Officer Glass was told to get an MRI if he continued to have pain in his foot. Officer Glass continued to seek medical attention for his foot due to chronic pain. Officer Glass was referred to a specialist that sent him to get an MRI. Officer Glass was informed he had a tumor in his foot. Officer Glass was then transferred to another specialist that sent him to get a biopsy of the tumor to see if it was benign. Unfortunately, the tumor was cancerous and Officer Glass was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer called Synovial Sarcoma๐๏ธ.Treatment for Officer Glass will include amputation of his left foot on February 14 2025 and six rounds of chemotherapy after he heals from surgery. Officer Glass plans to return to his police department after surgery, chemotherapy, physical therapy, and advanced training with his prosthetic.ย
For those who do not know Officer Glass, he is a 29 year old husband, father, and child of God. Officer Glass is a dedicated law enforcement officer who loves his career and will do anything to continue to serve and protect. Officer Glass takes pride in his professionalism, work ethic, and integrity.ย
Officer Glass is not only a dedicated law enforcement officer but also a dedicated husband and father of 5 young boys. Officer Glass and his family have a difficult road ahead of them and would really appreciate the support.
