Their story

MNPD Professional Support Staff Employee, Danielle Parson, in early September gave birth to her son Colton who has since been diagnosed with Spina bifida. Colton will need multiple follow-up doctors’ appointments and likely surgeries to manage his diagnosis and repair his spinal cord. She will be returning to work soon; however, family is struggling financially due to the recent and ongoing medical bills. Her husband, a registered Paramedic, is in the hiring process with Vanderbilt but they desperately need help filling the gaps in the pay schedule, due to increases in financial demands from unexpected medical expenses.

To compound these difficulties, on September 23rd Danielle's father suffered a heart attack, and her family has made the difficult decision to move in together to assist in caring for both Colton and her father.

Danielle is a dedicated member of our MNPD family and would be immensely appreciative of your support.
