Didarul Islam was more than a Police Officer—he was a devoted father to two young boys, a beloved son, a caring husband, and a big brother not only to his sisters but to countless cousins, both here and in Bangladesh.
He arrived in the United States from Bangladesh in 2009, driven by a dream to build a better future for his family. That dream led him to proudly join the NYPD in 2021, where he dedicated himself to serving the city and the nation with honor.
Didarul leaves behind his pregnant wife, two little boys, his aging parents, two heartbroken sisters, and a wide circle of cousins, friends, and well-wishers whose lives he touched deeply.
He was known for his soft-spoken nature, boundless kindness, and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. He always showed up—without hesitation, without question.
We lost not just a brother, but a piece of our hearts.
May Allah (SWT) grant him the highest place in Jannah and surround his family with strength and mercy during this unimaginable time. Ameen.

God Bless P.O. Didarul Islam and his family. I am praying for you and your yet to be born baby. There have been too many End-of-Watch ultimate sacrifices across this country. Three others earlier this same week. Thank God for Frank Siller at T2T.org and Fund-the-First, who step up at times like these. Families expect their loved ones to come home safely to them every day, but because of the ongoing, radical defund-the-police movement megaphoned by radicalized law makers and rioters (i.e., NY's Zohran Mamdani, Alvin Bragg, AOC, Letitia James, etc.), Law Enforcement is experiencing a higher probability of either losing their lives or being catastrophically injured while on duty. This should not happen! These LEOs sacrifice and put their lives on the line every day for me and my family, you and yours. That includes those who would march and/or protest their very existence. I say FOR SHAME on every protester and every politician, national or local who put their names to this ridiculous and dangerous movement. God bless you Ofc. Islam and your family. May you rest in peace. May your baby be born healthy and may your children carry on your wonderful legacy.
