On June 11th we tragically lost one of our own within the Toronto Police Service - Constable Marc Pinizzotto, who was killed in the line of duty. Marc was a 18 year veteran of the Service and a valued member of the Emergency Task Force.
Marc was more than a Police Officer - he was a devoted husband, father, brother and son. He was a leader in the hockey community, volunteering his time as a coach with the Oakville Rangers.
Marc was an amazing co-worker and always had time to listen and help out a fellow officer.
Marc leaves behind his wife and two beautiful children.

Money is of little solace to the family, but it is my way of showing that even strangers like me love and care about them due to the loss of someone who devoted his life to making others' lives safer and better. The outpouring of love and support will hopefully give comfort during this dark time.
The best of us pay the biggest price.

Marc was always so kind to my family and I at the cottage. I always admired them. Such a strong family with empathy and kindness. I was fortunate to have met them. They deserve the world. And they should have it.
