Once again, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office (Team BCPO) will participate in the Police Unity Tour.  Beginning on May 9, 2022, at the World Trade Center Memorial, our members will embark on a 300 mile, four-day bicycle ride, culminating at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C., on May 12, 2022.  Representatives from Team BCPO have participated in the Police Unity Tour since 2007.  Team BCPO will be joined by the other members of Police Unity Tour Chapter 37, which comprises law enforcement officers from New Jersey, New York, California, the United Kingdon, Israel.  The most notable participants of the Tour are the loved ones of fallen officers who ride alongside us and remind us of the reason for our journey.  Simply put, all of the riders participate in support of the Tour's mission, "We ride for those who died."

The National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial in Washington D.C. receives no public funding and is maintained through private donations.  The largest donor to the Memorial is the Police Unity Tour.  In May 2020, the Police Unity Tour was proud to donate more than $2.0 million to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, bringing the total donation to the Memorial to more than $30 million since the Tour's inception.
