It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Officer Roshanda McWilliams, a devoted law enforcement officer, colleague, friend, and cherished member of the Sunrise Police Department family.

Throughout Roshanda’s career, she dedicated    her life to serving others. She answered the call to protect and serve with courage, compassion, and commitment to the community. 

To those who had the privilege of working alongside her, Roshanda was much more than a fellow officer. She was a trusted friend, mentor, teammate, and someone who could always be counted on when it mattered most.

While we mourn the tremendous loss of a valued member of our law enforcement family, our hearts are especially with her family during this incredibly difficult time. No words can adequately express the pain of losing someone so deeply loved, and we recognize that the days and weeks ahead will bring not only emotional challenges, but financial ones as well.

We have established this donation page to help provide financial support to Roshanda’s family as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Contributions will help ease some of the financial burdens they may face and allow the family to focus on what matters most, grieving, healing, and being together.
