First Responders
Walk of Honor
Hi, my name is Brian. Recent events have inspired me to bring attention to the American flag and what it represents. The burning of our flag on our own soil sickens me. The blatant disrespect and contempt for our great nation is unsettling to say the least. It is my intention to do my part to remind all of us of the sacrifices of our first responders and hard working civilians whose lives were forever changed on September 11th, 2001.
Beginning at 12am on Wednesday, September 11th, I will be walking approximately 50 miles from my Long Island home to the 9/11 Memorial in NYC. With great respect and gratitude for all of our country's fallen heroes, those who lost their lives on 9/11, and especially my late father Battalion Chief Dennis A. Cross, I will proudly carry the American flag with me as I walk.
I am raising funds for two charities close to my heart; the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation and the Fight For Firefighters Foundation. The Fight For Firefighters Foundation aims to help first responders, their families, or those in their communities. They are noted for building wheel chair ramps throughout New York. The New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of burn care, research, prevention, education, and the proper treatment of burns.
Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you and God Bless America
