The Savannah Police Department has accepted the challenge of leading a team of officers in the 2022 AMBUCS Celebrity Bowlapalooza. The Savannah AMBUCS inspire people to conquer challenges related to mobility and independence. Over the past several years, the SPD has had the privilege of developing a close relationship with a young child who greatly benefits from this organization. He has a close affinity for the police, regularly attends our community events, and has participated in the 200 Club's Savannah Mile which honors fallen first responders, their families, and our military heroes. It is an honor for his family to ask Savannah Police Officers bowl with him in this year's event as celebrities.
The proceeds from these donations will go towards the following
- Amtrykes - specially adapted 3-wheeled bikes for children and adults with different abilities
- Provide local people with different abilities a scholarship to Savannah Tech
- Scholarships for therapists
- Bowling for people with different abilities
