Support Firefighter I Heyward Stovall

For more than 30 years, Firefighter I Heyward Stovall has been a constant presence and a pillar of strength for the CAL FIRE San Benito-Monterey Unit (BEU). Assigned to the Hollister Battalion, Heyward has dedicated his career to protecting our communities and serving the people of California.

Heyward Is Home — But Still Needs Our Support

After facing a serious medical battle that required hospitalization and ongoing dialysis, Heyward is now out of the hospital and, thankfully, off dialysis.

While this is an important step forward in his recovery, he continues to face significant challenges. As a seasonal firefighter who has been unable to work during his illness and recovery, Heyward is now facing financial hardship, particularly when it comes to maintaining stable housing and covering essential living expenses.

After spending more than three decades serving others, Heyward now needs our support as he works to rebuild his health and get back on his feet.

A Mentor to Many

To know Heyward is to respect him.

Throughout his career, he has been more than a colleague. He has been a mentor, a guide, and a steady presence for countless firefighters who have passed through BEU. He has shared his knowledge and experience, looked out for rookies, and helped shape the careers of firefighters who continue to serve today, as well as many who have since retired.

For more than 30 years, Heyward has been there for others. Now it is our turn to be there for him.

How You Can Help

We are raising funds to help Heyward with housing and essential living expenses while he continues his recovery and works toward returning to a more stable and independent life.

Your support will help provide:

  • Housing and rent assistance
  • Essential household and living expenses
  • Transportation and other recovery-related costs
  • Financial stability while Heyward is unable to return to work

Every donation, no matter the amount, can make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, coworkers, and network is another valuable way to help.

Heyward spent more than 30 years protecting and supporting others. Now, let's come together and support him during this next chapter of his recovery.

Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser.

Thank you for standing with Heyward, his family, and our fire family.
