My dog Cami has a hernia. I am on disability due to an ambulance accident on duty. I cannot afford to have her treated due to unforseen issues currently. My vet estimates the surgery will cost $1600.00 I was real close to her daddy and lost him 2 years ago due to a head trauma with partial paralysis (he was partially blind and ran into a tree) and really can't lose her too. Thank you for any help.

DAY 73! CAMI HAS VOMITED A FEW TIMES THE LAST FEW DAYS, I WONT LIE, I WENT INTO FULL PANIC MODE. I HAVE TAKEN HER OUT SEVERAL TIMES AND HER BOWELS ARE STILL MOVING SO I THINK SHE IS STILL SAFE TO CONTINUE FUND RAISING. THE VET WANTS TO SEE HER THIS FRIDAY AND I THINK SHE IS WANTING TO DO THE SURGERY. WE WIL. SEE WHAT HAPPENS ON FRIDAY!
Update day 69, donations have pretty much ceased. The vet called yesterday wanting her in for surgery today but I had to refuse because of lack of funding. I have begged repeatedly and am failing. I'm at my wits end please give me help or another idea.
Very slow going!!!!! I can't schedule the surgery until I meet the $1600.00 she has been ok so far but the hernia is getting bigger. I just hope donations pick up before she becomes critical and requires me to make THE decision that I don't want to or won't be able to handle. Please spread the word if you can!!! Anyone who reads this could you spread it around to your coworkers PLEASE!!!!!
I got what I'm calling good news today. I have been calling around and just got a call back from a veterinary surgeon who has quoted me a price for surgery and required labs, the total is $1600.00. This is a huge difference and hopefully it can be achieved with continued help from donations!
Her hernia is getting bigger, we need more help PLEASE!!!!
