Every child deserves to feel safe, strong, and loved — especially those who have faced trauma or hardship. This fundraiser supports two incredible organizations in Mobile, AL:  Penelope House Domestic Violence Shelter and the Child Advocacy Center, by donating empowering children’s books that remind young survivors they are never alone.
I’m raising funds ($2,000)  to donate copies of my children’s books, The Estie Files Series and The Determined Little Turtle, to the children supported by these organizations.
- The Estie Files Children’s Book Series follows K9 Estie, a tech-savvy, brave pup who helps her forest friends stay safe online. It empowers kids to make smart, safe choices — showing them they’re stronger than they realize.  - The Determined Little Turtle is a heartwarming tale about Turbo, a small turtle who faces big challenges. With determination and support from friends, Turbo learns that asking for help doesn’t make you weak — it helps you succeed.
These books carry powerful messages of resilience, bravery, and hope — helping children feel seen, supported, and capable of overcoming whatever they’re facing.
Why It Matters: Children staying at Penelope House have left behind everything familiar to escape unsafe situations, while children served by the Child Advocacy Center often face unimaginable trauma and uncertainty. These kids deserve comfort, encouragement, and a reminder that they are so much more than what happened to them.
With your help, we can provide these children with books that offer a safe escape, a sense of hope, and the belief that they are strong, brave, and worthy of a bright future.
How Your Donation Helps:- $10 = 1 book donated  - Our goal is to donate 100 books (each) to both the Penelope House and the Child Advocacy Center.
Let’s come together to give these children something they can hold onto — a book that reminds them they are not just survivors... they are heroes of their own stories.
Thank you for helping us make a difference — one book, one child, and one brave heart at a time.

We’re on our way with Books for Bravery!
Our goal is to donate 200 books total - that’s $2,000—and our fundraiser is still going strong! Our goal is to donate 100 books to each agency (Child Advocacy Center and the Penelope House.

Thanks to your generous support so far, we’re thrilled to share that we currently have enough to donate 10 books, which will be split between Penelope House and the Child Advocacy Center.

But we’re not there yet!
Please keep donating and sharing, every bit brings us closer to our mission of putting Estie’s story into the hands of the brave children served by these incredible agencies.
