Call for Backup, a Michigan-based national nonprofit, is hosting a Post Critical Incident Seminar for Michigan police officers and their spouses or significant others who have been impacted by a critical incident.  The Post Critical Incident Seminar will provide education on trauma, patterns of resolution, and field-tested coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience.  Peer support is also an important element in the process. Discussion of incidents with fellow police officers who have "been there" promotes normalization and recovery.  The Post Critical Incident Seminar is FREE to all who attend, including the program, dinner, and lodging on Thursday night for command staff and Friday night for line officers (for those NOT local to the area) as well as breakfast and lunch on each day.
